Learning 2.0 Thoughts

I was interested about what Rick Anderson had to say about "Icebergs" as we traverse in our "library boats." One he talked about was the traditional collection of print resources. I can see what he was saying about actual circulation rates being down in the past 12 years because of technology, but I don't think that really applies to an elementary school media center. We need to teach children the basics about how to use informational text and where to find it. I love technology just as much as the next guy and maybe I'm showing my digital immigrancy, but there is something great about just opening up and perusing a book! Anderson, Rick. "Avoiding The Icebergs." Next Space. 2006. OCLC. 27 Mar 2009 http://www.oclc.org/nextspace.
